  • Robyn Midgley

    Robyn is a British and European certified Hand Therapist, is the Director of Hand Therapy Consulting, Hand Consult SA and the Surgery & Therapy Summit. In addition, Robyn is the director of Robyn Midgley Consulting, where she teaches and mentors hand therapists to apply the Casting Motion to Mobilise Stiffness Technique (CMMS).

     

    Robyn is pioneering in the field of Hand Therapy Education and Therapist mentoring.

    Robyn offers a unique educational experience designed to enhance intellectual growth, embed knowledge and promote participatory engagement. Robyn's goal is to teach Hand Therapists how to heal the stiff hand and return patients to function in the most time and cost-effective manner.


    Participants in her online course and Surgery & Therapy Summit can expect world class delivery of content, individual mentoring and the opportunity to have Robyn present in therapy mentoring sessions to ensure the successful outcome of the patient, along with a growing and vibrant community and network of hand surgeons and therapists.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

  • Amber Nivens

    Amber Nivens brings a high level of dedication and passion for her patients and for the field of hand therapy. She is a lifetime learner and enjoys learning new skills and techniques to address pain, stiffness and to improve outcomes. Amber relocated to Surprise Arizona in 2006.


    She enjoys treating patients throughout the lifespan. She aims to complete her CHT certification in the next year. She has 3 kids and enjoys cooking, boating, gardening, and hiking during her time off.

    Amber completed a doctoral residency program at Valley Wise Medical Center, in outpatient orthopedic clinic. She has worked in outpatient hand therapy since 2018. She has presented case studies for both spaghetti wrist and distal radius fractures, and dog bites resulting in stiff hand using the CMMS technique for Hand Consult SA.

  • Kantessa Stewart

    Kantessa Stewart is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist.  She is a graduate of The Ohio State University Occupational Therapy program and received a Post Graduate Certificate in Advanced Hand and Upper Extremity Rehabilitation from Drexel University.  Currently she works as a Clinic Manager while maintaining a full-time patient caseload with a high level of professionalism, motivation, commitment to continuous learning, patient satisfaction and employee teaching.  Over 17 years working closely with Hand Surgeons, managing day to day clinic operations, facilitating staff education, setting up new therapy clinics and programs, collaborating with medical professionals, and over 23 years of providing skilled patient care.  Accomplishments include presenting two lectures “Rehab of the Replant” and “Rehab of Soft Tissue and Bone” at the 2019 American Society for Surgery of the Hand Conference to mid-level providers in Las Vegas, NV; Publishing “Overcoming Barriers to Treat Children in Need” in the ASHT Times Vol. 18, Issue 3, Fall 2012; teaching Custom Orthosis Fabrication at the collegiate level to Occupational Therapy Students for 18 years, presenting at the Ohio Occupational Therapy State Conference, and forming the Dayton Area Hand Therapist networking group. 

     

     

     

  • Yesenia Stavros

    Yesenia has spent over 6 years in Outpatient Rehabilitation as a licensed Occupational Therapist. She provides care to a variety of age groups and helps individuals with orthopedic and neurological conditions regularly. After graduating from Florida International University with her Master's in Occupational Therapy, she has worked both in outpatient and in-patient settings including Acute Care Rehabilitation and Inpatient Skilled Nursing Facilities. Focused and passionate about hand therapy, Yesenia is currently working toward her Certified Hand Therapy Certification. She is trained in Casting Motion to Mobilize Stiffness and Orthotic Fabrication. Yesenia is also certified and trained in performing Work Conditioning and Functional Capacity Evaluations. She is bilingual and fluent in Spanish, providing the hispanic community quality patient care. Making a connection and acquiring trust with her patients is important to Yesenia, as she has found it has allowed her patients to confidently return to work and daily activities.
